Tis' the season to host endless family, friend, work, & boo thang parties - can you feel your wallet shrinking? Same. I LOVE to host. Bringing community together is my ISH, but sometimes hosting can be daunting when you're stuck with the alcohol, food, & cleaning bill afterwards. Luckily, I've unlocked the (not so) secret to hosting parties that will let you enjoy without the money anxiety.
Here's how you can be the hostest with the mostest money still in your bank account!

BEFRIEND YOUR LOCAL 99c STORE
99c Store, Dollar Tree, any of those bad boys will do. I SWEAR by them!
- Decor: themed by color, holiday, age, AND celebration, streamers, balloons, etc.
- Cutlery: napkins, cups, utensils, champagne flutes, plates, candles, paper straws
- Signage: chalkboard signs, light signs, hanging signs, number balloons
- Activities: games, cards, ping pong balls
I typically spend about $30 on the above supplies and always have leftovers for the next party.
Alcohol adds up & sending a "BYOB" in a party text never feels great. So check out this article on 20 Cheap Cocktails to Make at Home & this blog post here on the best wines under $10.
If you're planning on dinner, then potluck style is a great option! Have everyone bring their favorite dish, appetizer, snack, side, dessert, bevvy - your fellow broke bishes will have fun with it! Pizza makes (almost) everyone happy, BBQ is also a great option because chips & burgers are budget friendly af!
^^ a perfect example of a "Merry Thankmus" Friendsgiving Potluck party! This event cost:
$35 | decor, cutlery, & plateware
$16 | wine (2 bottles)
Total: $51
This was super low budget because it was intentionally potluck style & everyone brought a little something to contribute. Each person spent around $10-&20, but even as the host I barely broke $50! I also have an insane amount of leftover plates/napkins/cups, alcohol, & PIE (dangerous) that I'll break out and save money for the next party (not the pie, that's all for me!).
Party on sweet protégé!!
