I throw a MEAN picnic. My picnic basket is one of my most prized possessions & has been used so many times this year I cannot recommend it enough. There was a point over summer where I was picnicing at least 3 times a week. It's such a great way to intentionally connect with friends, support small businesses if you're ordering take-out, and be COVID-safe!

There she is in all her glory ^ my picnic basket. From a mini cooler & wine glasses, to all the necessary cutlery, this baby is a picnicing dream come true. This basket will get its money's worth - especially if you love to be outside & spend time with your fellow bishes! Not a NECESSITY, but def a great way to spice up your picnics! This thing will get its money's worth, buy yours here.

I also LOVE this portable picnic table, it's perfect for a little wine & cheese sunset picnic for your gals or date night. It has 6 wine holders & cheeseboard cutlery MAGNETED to the underside. Add your charcuterie to the middle or bring an extra wood board. This is also a cheaper alternative to the full basket!

With that being said - here are my fav spots to picnic in Southern California!

John Wayne Park

2405 Cliff Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92663

John Wayne may be one of the most popular spots to picnic in Orange County, right behind Cliff Drive. With immaculate ocean views, this is a spot you need to know. If you're hosting an outdoor birthday picnic and don't want to deal with the sand, post up here!

Heisler Park

375 Cliff Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

A Laguna Beach staple. Just a short walk away from Urth Caffe for a tea or treat to enjoy. Heisler has amazing ocean views and a long stripe of grass to sit on. A very populated spot, but totally worth it!

Kate Sessions Park

5115 Soledad Rd, San Diego, CA 92109

Great location in San Diego, just above Pacific Beach! With tons of grass, beautiful hillside views, sports field, and playground for kiddos, it's a great spot to set up for the whole fam! This location is amazing for daytime or a sunset, theres a good amount of grass if you're playing any games (football, catch, spikeball, etc.) too!

Jerome C. Daniel Overlook

7036 Mulholland Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068

This is one of my favorite viewpoints in LA, it's even a stop for the tourist busses... it's that good! This is perfect for nighttime because the city lights are captivating. Not as much room to sit & parking is awful so avoid weekends or groups.

Angeles Crest Highway

5849-5883 Angeles Crest Hwy, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011

I went to high school near this lookout & it was the literal high school make out spot HA! Classic. It has views of allll of LA - from the valley, to downtown, to the ocean if you're there on a clear day. If you're not comfortable driving on steep windy roads, this may not be for you. Angeles Crest Highway is a steep, windy road that carries on for miles - please be safe driving up!

Pro tip: Go on a Dodger home game night, you can see the fireworks from here!

Happy Picnicing!! xx
